Red weather warning
Thu 17 Feb 2022In view of the RED weather warning issued by the MET Office for , the significant parts of Rhondda Cynon Taff, the council has directed the closure of a schools tomorrow. This action has been taken in the interest of public safety. Your child will be provided with remote learning opportunities during this emergency closure day. A public update will be provided by the Council later today.

Self-isolate for 7 days.
Not required to self-isolate. Not required to test (unless advised by a doctor or if a parent/carer believes a test is absolutely necessary and in the best interests of a child). (see section below).

Learners
aged 5-11 years
Self-isolate for 7 days.
Negative LFTs required on day 6 and day 7. If not, must self-isolate for 10 days.
Book a PCR test, self-isolate until the test results are back, if positive continue self-isolation for 7 days from date symptoms started, if negative leave isolation.
Use LFTs daily for 7 days.
If negative, no requirement to self-isolate.
If positive, they should self-isolate for 7 days from the date of the positive LFT and book a PCR test.
Learners aged 11+ years and fully vaccinated adults
Self-isolate for 7 days.
Negative LFTs required on day 6 and day 7. If not, must self-isolate for 10 days.
Book a PCR test, self-isolate until the test results are back, if positive continue self-isolation for 7 days from date symptoms started, if negative leave isolation.
Use LFTs daily for 7 days.
If negative, no requirement to self-isolate.

Unvaccinated adults
Self-isolate for 7 days.
