Our eco council are busy arranging a range of activities with the help of Mr. Saunders, Miss. Bennett and the Friends of Penrhys.
If you have suggestions of ways to improve the school, or you would like to see any additions to the environment, etc, please submit your ideas to the school and eco council via the 'Suggestion Box' located in the school foyer.

We helped organise and run our Community Litter Pick.
Running community litter picks is a meaningful way for children and families to give back to their local area while developing a strong sense of social responsibility and pride in their community. By taking part in these activities, children learn the importance of caring for the environment, respecting shared spaces, and understanding how their actions can make a positive difference. This links closely to the Four Purposes of the Curriculum for Wales, as pupils become ethical, informed citizens who recognise their responsibilities towards others and the environment; ambitious, capable learners who gain knowledge about sustainability and environmental issues; enterprising, creative contributors who help identify solutions to improve their local area; and healthy, confident individuals who develop confidence, teamwork skills, and a sense of wellbeing through active participation outdoors. Community litter picks therefore provide valuable real-life learning experiences that help children grow into responsible and engaged members of society.
