Governors
The Governing Body
As is the case for all state schools in Wales, it is the Governing Body who take the major decisions on how the school is run. Whilst the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and rest of the staff take the vast majority of "day to day" decisions, it is the role of the Governing Body to make decisions such as:
Hiring of staff
Large and significant expenditure
Adopting and following policies and procedures
Holding the decisions made to account
We are lucky at Penrhys to have a team of dedicated Governors who give up their time to make sure that Penrhys Primary School is the best that it can be and has a clear and informative plan on how to continue to grow and develop into the future.
