Welcome to Dosbarth Pinc!

About us

We are a happy class of 31 inquisitive and smiling pupils, ranging from 3 to 6 years of age.

We have five friendly members of staff who help to provide the best learning opportunities possible.

We believe that early childhood should be filled with enjoyment end exploration, and the most appropriate vehicle through which we can achieve this for our little ones is through play!

Children are eager to learn and it is our task to ensure they have purposeful play activities, both indoors and outdoors, that stimulate their thinking and curiosities, supporting them to develop skills further with focused tasks to build on their next steps in learning.

Staff are on hand to facilitate learning at every opportunity giving praise and encouragement and asking leading questions that extend learning.

Meet the Team

Mrs John- Foundation Phase Leader

Hello! I’m Mrs John, and I love helping young learners explore, discover, and grow through play. Learning should be fun, hands-on, and full of curiosity! Whether we’re getting messy with creative activities, exploring the outdoors, or building early skills through play, I’m here to support and inspire every step of the way.

Mrs Pike - Foundation Phase Practitioner

Mrs Pike knows where everything is! If you need it, Mrs Pike can find it. She is amazing at keeping all of our Learning Labs stocked with all the resources the children need. She loves to read, especially the Bible and she enjoys baking cakes.

Miss B. Cole’s - Foundation Phase Practitioner

Miss Coles has moved down to the Foundation Phase and couldn’t be happier! Miss Cole’s loves to be busy, and that’s exactly what we are in Dosbarth Pinc! Busy bees! Miss Coles enjoys preparing resources, setting up inviting learning spaces, and keeping everything tidy so the children can fully enjoy their activities.

Miss Gregory - Foundation Phase Practitioner

Miss Gregory is the team’s creative force, transforming everyday materials like cardboard boxes, paper plates, and other simple resources into imaginative masterpieces. With a passion for hands-on learning, she brings creativity and inspiration to both children and staff every day.

Snacks

Pupils are welcome to bring a piece of fruit to school as a snack, every day. We ask that pupils' names are labelled on the tupperware or directly on the fruit. They are encouraged to be self sufficient in peeling their fruit.

We do not allow grapes to be brought into school as part of pupils' snack.

Pupils are encouraged to bring personalised reusable water bottles which are cleaned and refilled daily.

We do not allow pupils to bring fizzy drinks into school as part of pupils' snack.

Clothing

In the foundation phase we provide a variety of opportunities daily for children to develop their gross motor and fine manipulation skills. We ask that pupils are appropriately dressed in comfortable uniform, footwear and coats that will withstand the different environments we use, including the outdoor area. We use aprons in the water play and mud kitchen, but of course, when having fun some messes are inevitable.

Every Monday afternoon we have a directed PE session and advise that pupils wear trainers on this day.

On other days when pupils need to wear clothing other than uniform, we will inform you via text and Seesaw.

*Please ensure all items of clothing are labelled with your child's name*

If you ever have any questions or you need any advice please do not hesitate to contact us via Seesaw,
